What makes a blog nonprofit?

What do you think makes a blog nonprofit related? I am curious to hear your thoughts.

I think there are two broad categories I would consider in answering your question:

1) Blogs written by and for those within the nonprofit sector. They may be authored by consultants or organizations, but the topics are a sharing of resources and best practices for others in the field.

2) Blogs that are written by specific organizations for their supporters. The topics are designed to educate about mission and issues and inform about progress and happenings.

I'd say that it's the blogs in the first category that belong in the Nonprofit Blog Exchange, if that's what you're looking for.

1) I think that non-profit blogs are blogs that support the cause of non-profit orgs not necessarily written by those who are within that sector already, because if it does, it takes out the beauty of blogging (knowing that bloggers dont necessarily have to have expertise in the field that they are writing about

I agree completely with Tuesday gutz...
For example, I try to support peruan friends, working in a NGO, with my blog in Germany. I´m not member of their team, but I like to stay in contact with them and know that actually their to busy with their daily work to write blogs.

Blogs written by those FOR the nonprofit sector is covered in kenrg's comment. I have lately been blogging about nonprofits here in India. And while my own nonprofit org supports Asian nonprofits with management and technical advice, our blog does aim to raise awareness of nonprofit orgs we come across.

I don't agree that blogs written by orgs for their supporters don't belong here, though. I like reading about missions, issues and progress in individual nonprofits.
